Step 2, wind chimes, and technology.

I have officially been a non-smoker for 2 weeks and am now on step 2 of the nicotine patch kit to help my body get rid of its pesky nicotine addiction. (As one of my friends said, "Oh lord, you're one of those people now, aren't you?" LOL)

Now this next part makes me feel kinda stupid. It's okay, though, because the discovery was an awesome happy moment today that's continuing to make me smile every time I hear it, hehehe =).

About a week ago, I met with my mom at one of our local gift shops, The Holly Hut. I've been wanting a wind chime forever now, and I was checking out some of the amazing ones in the shop.

Now, the bigger ones that sound super awesome are about $100 to $150 each, but those things are huge and I can't afford one of those right now. BUT... I found a really cute one while I was browsing that says, "Treasure LITTLE Things!" at the top. It's got some glass beads and butterflies hanging from it, and I've been leaving the back door cracked so I can listen to it =).

I've also been randomly finding things online again, as usual. Ever since I started with those webinars, I've been considering trying to get into coaching more, helping people to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. I'm not sure if I would be any good at it, but I think that I'm interested enough to learn more and see what happens.

Earlier today, I was on a video chat with my mom, dad, little brother, oldest daughter, and my Opa (Grandpa) - they're all in Germany! I love how you can be halfway across the world but still see and talk with people you love. Technology is amazing.

Meanwhile, because it was on Amazon for a dollar, I decided to check out the book Think and Grow Rich because it kind of follows along the same lines as everything else I'm learning about now. The empathy-driven economy, setting and achieving goals, listening to need, and providing value... I hope =). So that book has been added to my continuously growing list of books to finish and/or start. I think i have a stack of about 20 books that I either need to read completely or just finish... I'm right smack in the middle of Stephen King's On Writing, which is hilarious and fun to read.

I'm not sure why I'm like this today, but for some reason, I can't really seem to focus on one thing. Or stay focused, anyway. I'm revising an eBook I'm working on right now for a client, then I'm supposed to do more editing, and I've gotten majorly distracted from several other tasks I've given myself... then I keep thinking about the webinar scheduled for Thursday night and hoping that we still manage to get the textbook before hand because I want to read more....

And then I come across random stuff I want to read or search Google for something and wind up completely distracted... normally I can stay on one task until it's done, but today it doesn't seem to want to work that way. Yikes!

I decided to go ahead and post a blog about my new wind chimes and how awesomely awesome my mom is for getting them for me even though I was completely oblivious about it for a week. I love the wind chimes! And I love technology, too.

On that note - Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic week and I cannot wait for the milk man to bring our milk because we're almost out... then mail time and go hang out with the animals at my parents' house time. ;)
