Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do.

Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.

Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.

Fears are nothing more than a state of mind.

(All quotes from Napoleon Hill.)
I was only planning to spend about an hour on my websites this morning, but I wound up spending about three or four. At first, I was a little disappointed in myself. My websites are, afterall, not as important as my client work or my company's work, right?

Then I reconsidered. My websites are the gateway to me, my work, my company, and all of my projects. If these websites do not look polished, professional, and regularly updated, then where can I refer potential clients, customers, authors, and other professional connections?
Once I began thinking of it that way, I became absolutely determined to finalize my website updates, make sure every page looks its absolute best, and rearrange my tasks over the next three days instead of trying to finish everything today.

That got me thinking about feeling overworked again. I really don't feel overworked or overwhelmed lately, but I think that's because I know that I'm only human and can only expect to get so much finished in a day, especially with three kids in the house and tons of cleaning and laundry to do.

Here's what I know: There is no choice but to keep working as much as I can, every day. Work on several projects for a while each day to continue moving forward and getting ahead. Perseverance is absolutely mandatory if any kind of success is going to come my way, and I'm good at perseverance.

I also pride myself on being reliable, so I'm ending this post here so I can get back to work =). Happy Tuesday, all!
